Apache Gold Teardrop Earrings, Native Silver Pyrite Magnetite
Apache Gold is the trade name given to a lovely and elegant, black and shiny, metallic gold rock found in the United Verde Mine in Jerome, Arizona. Apache Gold combines pyrite and magnetite, an iron oxide. Also known as Native Silver and Healer's Gold.
These stones are cut in a teardrop shape. The pattern resembles a black mountain set against a golden sky, with beautiful shades of metallic burnished gold and black. They are prong-set in hand-soldered sterling silver baskets, with silver ear wires. The silver is polished and and the ear wires are oxidized to achieve a gunmetal finish to compliment the black in the stones. Completely handmade, and one-of-a-kind!
