Sapphire Kite Earrings
I had always thought that sapphires only came in blue. Turns out they are found in a range of other unique colors, including this velvety chocolate bi-color hue with golden highlights, made even more special in a rose-cut kite shape. These stones are hand-soldered in a sterling silver prong setting, with sterling posts and backs. So classic and elegant, but in a distinctive shape and color. Pair these neutral-colored earrings with just about anything.
Sapphires are the hardest stone there is, second only to diamonds. Chocolate sapphires are rare and hail from Zawadi, Kenya. In Swahili, zawadi means "gift". Sapphires are precious stones, along with diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, and have traditionally been the most sought-after gems.
Sapphire is said to attract wealth and prosperity. It's thought to stimulate the intellect, improve mental clarity, and enhance energy.
Earrings measure 5/8" long and 1/4" at the widest point.
