Gio Cholla Pendant, Bronze or Sterling Silver, Cactus Wood Necklace
I've used a section of actual section of cactus wood to create a stunning statement pendant with a pattern of ovals. It is cast in sterling silver or nickel-free bronze using lost-wax casting. I start with a wax model, and then a plaster mold is made from the wax. Liquid metal is poured into the mold and heated in a kiln to create the final pendant. Each necklace is polished to bring out the wood texture and shine.
The deep indentations in the cactus made it very tricky to cast, but give the finished product amazing depth and texture. The look of this beautiful pendant is both organic and space-age. It will compliment just about anything you wear with it, and it's an attention-getting and distinctive piece, with just the right touch of mod glam.
Pendant length is 22".
The pendant can be cast in either bronze or sterling silver, with an antique brass chain, a gunmetal (dark silver color) chain, or a sterling silver chain. Please allow 10-14 days for the creation of your custom-made pendant in bronze or sterling.
