Display your jewelry and special collections in this exquisite, one-of-a-kind handmade glass enamel jewelry dish. This dish features a beautiful vintage floral pattern and a little bird flying over a multi-colored background of circular shapes in green, rose pink, and blue. I've added hand-painted details to the flower forms and the bird.
First, the bowl shape is hand-cut from copper sheet and hammered into a dimensional form. The copper is carefully cleaned and prepared in order to accept the enamel. Then, I apply multiple layers of enamel, which is finely powdered glass, and photo-transferred patterns. The layers of enamel are fused to the copper on both sides in a 1500 degree kiln. This firing process is repeated several times.
The bowl has a flat base and is counter-enameled (fired on both sides) for extra stability. Finally, the edges are sanded to expose the copper. And voila .... a vibrantly colored bowl which will make a great gift for yourself or a loved one.
Measures 4" in diameter, and is signed on the bottom. Dish will arrive in a box with ribbon and gift tag, ready for gifting. Not to be used for food.
