Grapevine Post Earrings, Bronze or Sterling Silver
I've cast an actual grapevine in bronze and soldered a sterling silver post on one end, with a sterling silver ear back. The result is an organic, twisted branch form that gracefully follows the curve of your jawline. The style is an intriguing combination of organic nature and goth, tough but beautiful. Please allow 10-14 days for casting in sterling silver.
These earrings were created from an actual grapevine. It was cast in solid nickel-free bronze using lost-wax casting. I start with a wax model, and then a plaster mold is made from the wax. Liquid metal is poured into the mold and heated in a kiln to create the final product, which is then tumbled, tumbled, and tumbled again, and polished to bring out the shine. Bronze and sterling silver are available now,
Earrings measure 1 3/4" long.
