These adorable bronze earrings were hand-cast using a vintage charm. I've soldered a sterling silver post (with sterling backing) to the backs.
I've cast them in solid nickel-free bronze using lost-wax casting. I start with a wax model, and then a plaster mold is made from the wax. Liquid metal is poured into the mold and heated in a kiln to create the final product, which is then tumbled, tumbled, and tumbled again, and polished to bring out the shine. I've polished the surface to a beautiful shine, and then add a metal sealant to the bronze earrings to protect the finish.
The earrings measure 2 1/4" They are comfortable to wear, but have a bit of weight to them.
Please allow 10-14 days for casting in bronze or sterling silver.
