Beautiful ocean jasper cabochons are set onto a soldered sterling silver wire base with a beaded outer edge and set with bead-ended prongs. Hand-formed sterling silver hoop ear wires. The ocean jasper stones have a brightly colored circle/bubble pattern in shades of yellow, red, black, and ivory. Completely handmade in my Chicago studio and one of a kind; this is a stunning pair of earrings.
Ocean Jasper was mined off the coast of Madagascar. Most of the supplies have been greatly depleted, so it's rarely mined at all today. The rhythmic cadence of the sea has always called humanity to its shores, to breathe its essence, feel its gentle power, and to lay one’s burdens aside. Ocean Jasper brings that same spirit of peace and letting go, of breathing deeply and consciously, attuning to nature and being physically and spiritually present in one’s surroundings.
