Peanut Obsidian and Silver Floral Necklace, Teardrop Gemstone, Etched Sterling Silver, Poppy Pendant
This one of a kind gemstone is a gorgeous peanut obsidian in a teardrop pear shape. Its deep orange shapes on a charcoal gray ground remind me of poppy flowers. It is prong-set and soldered in sterling silver onto a wire base. It hangs from a sterling silver triangle with a hand-etched floral pattern that echos the flower-like patterns in the stone. The silver triangle has been oxidized and polished to highlight the pattern. The necklace has a tube bale on the back, and hangs from an 16" sterling silver cable chain with a secure sterling lobster clasp. Completely handmade in my Chicago studio and one of a kind; this is a stunning and unique pendant.
Peanut Obsidian is a combination of Mahogany and Snowflake Obsidian. Mexican Peanut obsidian was discovered in the 1960s near Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. It’s become exceedingly scarce as it has been a lapidary favorite for years. This stone has the unique ability to ground you while allowing your consciousness to expand and grow, giving the courage to communicate new ideas with confidence. Obsidian is also a powerful cleanser for your aura and it is a strong psychic protection stone. Its powerful metaphysical properties help to shield against negativity.
Pendant measures 1 1/8" at widest point, and 2 1/8" high, including bale. Total length of necklace is 20* long
