This one of a kind gemstone is a gorgeous peanut obsidian in a heart shape. It is prong-set and soldered in sterling silver onto a wire base, with a sterling silver Art Deco plant bale. The heart hangs from an 17" sterling silver cable chain with a secure sterling lobster clasp. Completely handmade in my Chicago studio and one of a kind; this is a stunning and unique pendant. The heart stone measures about 1" in long and 7/8" wide. Total length of the pendant is 18".
Peanut Obsidian is a combination of Mahogany and Snowflake Obsidian. Mexican Peanut obsidian was discovered in the 1960s near Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. It’s become exceedingly scarce as it has been a lapidary favorite for years.
