Pharaoh Stud Earrings,

Adorable little vintage pharaoh stampings were made of brass in the 1950s. I've soldered sterling silver posts to the backs, tumbled them to a beautiful shine, and added sterling silver ear nuts. I've added a metal sealant to protect the finish. In addition to being completely fun to wear, their small size make them perfect for everyday. Earrings measure 1/2" in diameter.

Pharaoh means the sun. He is ruler of the solar plexus, the sun center in the subconscious mind.

Distant and exotic civilizations inspired many creations during the early 1920s and onward to spur a movement called "Egyptian Revival," which characterized the type of jewelry that was influenced by ancient Egypt. In November of 1922, the tomb of Tutankhamun was opened, which was located in Egypt within the Valley of the Kings. This incredible discovery was esteemed as one of the most valuable archaeological finds of the 20th Century, and completely enthralled and aroused much interest throughout the world. Although Egyptian influence had already begun decades prior, the Egyptian Revival movement was heaviest following that particular discovery, and still continues today.
