Tribal Rainbow Titanium Quartz Crystal Earrings
These earrings have been lovingly hand carved in wax, then cast in metal using the lost wax casting process. They are a modern take on hoop earrings with a Boho, tribal twist. I have cast them in solid nickel-free bronze using lost-wax casting. A plaster mold is made from the wax model. Liquid metal is poured into the mold and heated in a kiln to create the final product, which is then tumbled, tumbled, and tumbled again, and polished to bring out the shine. I've added wired-wrapped titanium quartz crystal beads with beautiful rainbow colors.
The earrings hang from 14k gold filled, sterling silver, or lever-back antique brass ear wires that are secure as well as lead and nickel-free. They can also be cast in sterling silver.
The earrings measure 2 1/4" from the top of the ear wire.
